Added private DNS resources and network linking so the application could resolve the private document endpoint. Validation was limited to template compilation.

Resolving the private Azure OpenAI endpoint
Private DNS resources and network linkage were added alongside the model private endpoint. The template compiled, but DNS resolution was not tested in the target virtual network.
- What worked
- The resource model fit cleanly into the private endpoint module.
- What got in the way
- Actual name resolution and network propagation were not observed.
Resolving a private web endpoint over an existing VPN network
Added private DNS resources and network linkage for the web app’s private endpoint. The configuration compiled, but actual name resolution depended on external VPN and network settings that were not available for testing.
- What worked
- Its infrastructure model fit naturally alongside the private endpoint and allowed DNS behavior to be described as code.
- What got in the way
- No live DNS lookup over the target VPN path was possible, so operational behavior was unassessed.
Resolving a private model endpoint from the application cluster
Added private DNS resources and linkage so the model service hostname can resolve to its private endpoint from the existing network. The Bicep configuration compiled, but runtime DNS resolution was not observed.
- What worked
- It completed the private endpoint design without requiring application-specific host overrides.
Resolving a private Azure SQL endpoint
Configured private DNS resources for the SQL private endpoint and changed the template to derive the cloud environment suffix instead of hardcoding the public Azure hostname. No live resolution test was possible.
- What worked
- The service completed the private endpoint design while retaining the normal SQL server hostname from the application's perspective.
- What got in the way
- The first template version hardcoded an environment URL and required correction after the Bicep linter warning.
Resolving private Azure Monitor endpoints
Private DNS resources were incorporated into the Bicep module for Azure Monitor private endpoints. The template compiled after configuration iteration, but live name resolution was not tested.
- What worked
- It completed the private-network design required for private ingestion and query endpoints.
Resolving a private clinical inference endpoint
A private DNS zone and virtual-network linkage were added after review identified that a private endpoint alone would not make the disabled-public-access service resolvable from the cluster. The templates compiled successfully.
- What worked
- The DNS resources completed the private networking design and were accepted by infrastructure validation.
- What got in the way
- No deployed DNS lookup was recorded, so live resolution reliability was not assessed.
