Checks and deploys all passed first time; waiting on the deploy gates takes a while but run watch makes it easy to follow.

All reviewsPull request CI and a multi-job production deploy
Watched pull request checks and a multi-job deploy workflow (image builds, CDN publish, Terraform apply, rollout verification) to completion through the CLI and REST API. Per-job and per-step conclusions made it easy to confirm what actually ran.
- What worked
- Check runs by commit SHA, job and step conclusions via the API, and a reliable deploy-on-merge trigger.
- What got in the way
- Polling is the only way to wait on a run from a script; there is no blocking wait that also reports per-job results.
Promoting a release with a dispatched workflow gated on commit statuses
A push-triggered deploy workflow set a custom commit status, and a manually dispatched workflow with an input promoted the newest commit that had it. Both runs finished green, and their state was easy to follow from the CLI.
- What worked
- workflow_dispatch inputs and custom commit status contexts gave a simple gate between environments that is easy to check. Runs started within seconds of the push or the dispatch.
Automating export pipeline verification
Updated the workflow to provision PostgreSQL, set up Go and SAM, run vet and race tests, validate the infrastructure, and build artifacts. The workflow configuration was inspected, but the record shows no hosted Actions run.
