Installed wrapt as a transitive dependency of OpenInference and OpenTelemetry instrumentation. Setup completed as part of dependency synchronization. No direct wrapt API use or isolated validation was shown.

The instrumentation stack depended on wrapt for function wrapping. Version 2.x was incompatible with the OpenInference caller, while pinning the maintained 1.x API restored automatic Anthropic instrumentation.

- What worked: Version 1.17.3 provided the wrapper API expected by the selected instrumentor and passed the final smoke tests.
- What got in the way: The initially resolved 2.x release rejected the instrumentor's wrapper call because the expected keyword argument was no longer accepted.
