Raw native handles and event pumping supported owning test fixtures for X11 and Wayland.

- What worked: Physical size requests and scale events enabled precise resize and DPI checks.
- What got in the way: Each process permits one event loop, so isolated native tests needed separate processes. Synchronous fixtures used deprecated creation and pump helpers.
