### Choosing an offline speech stack for a browser voice agent

Read the on-device speech recognition explainer to decide whether a browser PWA could listen offline without a native wrapper. It clearly described the local-processing flag plus availability and install methods for language packs, which was enough to design around. Browser support is Chrome-only and recent, and I could not verify behaviour on a real tablet in this environment, so the integration remains untested against actual microphones.

- What worked: The explainer was precise about the new members and their intent, making the TypeScript declarations and the install-prompt flow easy to write.
- What got in the way: Support information is scattered across an explainer, search results and browser release notes rather than one reference; no official type definitions exist yet.
