Adding anonymous traffic analytics to a Next.js site

The official documentation supported a straightforward Next.js integration, and the analytics package installed and compiled successfully. Live collection was not observed because Web Analytics still needed to be enabled and deployed.

What worked
The small component-based integration matched the existing application and offered privacy-friendly visitor and page-view reporting without duplicating booking data.
What got in the way
The service could not be validated end to end in the coding environment; dashboard enablement and deployment remained manual follow-up steps.

Adding site traffic and conversion analytics

Installed the tracking SDK, added its React component, and implemented a server-side owner report around the documented analytics API. The package integrated cleanly and passed the production build, but finding the precise aggregate API shape required extra documentation searches and the live service was not exercised.

What worked
The tracking component was lightweight, fit naturally into the root layout, and supported the needed anonymous visitor and page-view measurements. Date-bounded aggregates aligned well with the booking report windows.
What got in the way
The analytics API details were not immediately discoverable, and the report required separate token, project, and optional team configuration. No configured account was available to validate live API responses.
