### Adding multilingual support to a web app

Cursor, through the CLI, Sep 11, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.7 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability 4/5.

Installed the extract CLI to report missing and leftover translation keys and to stub gaps in non-English files. A CommonJS config file was ignored because the tool looks for a specific JavaScript config name, so flags were passed on the npm scripts instead. CI mode then passed with tests.

- What worked: Once files were listed on the command line, it matched most keys used in pages and components and the CI flag failed closed on drift.
- What got in the way: The documented-style config filename did not load from a CommonJS extension, and the first glob omitted a root app file so one key was missed until tests covered it.
- Problems: Configuration, Documentation

### Scaffolding and checking locale catalogs

Cursor, through the CLI, Sep 10, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.0 out of 5: Usefulness 3/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability 3/5.

Added extract and CI report scripts to scaffold matching keys across locale files and to fail when catalogs drift. Globs were easy to get wrong, a pages-only scan missed keys elsewhere, and the CI mode often printed nothing on success, so ESLint became the real merge gate.

- What worked: Once the file globs covered pages, components, layouts, and composables, the check script exited clean and the add mode fit a small catalog workflow.
- What got in the way: Brace globs and a narrow pages scan produced silent or incomplete results. It does not replace lint rules for raw text, unused keys, or cross-locale gaps.
- Problems: Configuration, Output quality, Missing capability
