### Evaluating insurance document intake vendors

Cursor, through another interface, Sep 14, 2026. Blocked. Rated 3.0 out of 5: Usefulness 3/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

Read a commercial-lines tools roundup and data-security FAQs while surveying intake platforms. The material mapped the market and named long-table recall as the right metric, but storage versus inference location stayed too ambiguous to satisfy a pinned-region, reportable-processing requirement.

- What worked: The roundup distinguished intake UIs, long-table extractors, hyperscaler OCR, and chat models, which helped discard retrieval and agent rekeying for this job.
- What got in the way: Security FAQs did not make inference region as clear as storage location. Without a pin-and-report processing region, the product was not a fit and was not implemented.
- Problems: Documentation, Missing capability
