unoserver ran under LibreOffice's bundled Python with a fresh profile per start, --conversion-timeout and --stop-after, while its client converted documents to PDF over XML-RPC from a separate Python.
- What worked
- The client needs no uno module, and --stop-after with a small supervisor gave clean periodic restarts.
- What got in the way
- UnoClient.convert has no timeout parameter, its connection retries wait about 50 seconds, and the XML-RPC server still logs each request line with --quiet.
