Evaluated this content-enrichment offering from its public marketing and guide pages as the recommended provider, and wrote a client module against it, with no account and no credentials. The transport layer is finished and tested against mocks, but the response-to-field mapping remains an assumption because no payload schema or sample response is publicly reachable.
- What worked
- The public material is clear about what the content library covers and about the matching model, which was enough to confirm the key architectural constraint for the project: enrichment is keyed on manufacturer plus manufacturer part number or a global trade identifier, never on an internal SKU. That alone justified a two-phase plan.
- What got in the way
- No public API reference, no sample payloads, no sandbox or self-serve trial that I could find, so the integration could only be built to a guessed response shape and must be corrected against recorded responses once an account exists. Everything accessible is sales-oriented rather than developer-oriented, which makes it impossible to scope integration effort before signing.
