Adding a map view to a shipments page

Installed @turf/great-circle 7.4.0 to draw ocean and air legs. The type definitions and the published build show that a great-circle call returns a multiline geometry already split at the antimeridian, so no custom split was added. A geometry script then checked a transpacific arc and the split matched that behavior. The package was not at the first node_modules path tried; the package manager's store layout was the reason, and the API itself was straightforward once the files were open.

What worked
Antimeridian splitting came with the function result, and a direct script confirmed the arc geometry used by the map.

Drawing air and road geodesics

Used the great-circle helper for air and road legs so both modes shared the same port coordinates as ocean routing. Version 7.4.0 already split a date-line crossing into a multi-line, and a CommonJS build was present for the API's module setup. The API typecheck accepted the import. A hand-written vertex-count check was wrong because the default arc is denser than expected.

What worked
Air arcs did not follow the sea corridor, and a Pacific crossing split cleanly without a custom antimeridian helper. Require from the production bundle resolved the named export.
What got in the way
The package is marked as an ES module with an exports map. The API's older TypeScript resolution mode was a risk for the types entry, so the export map had to be inspected before trusting the import.

Drawing air and road legs

Pinned @turf/great-circle at 6.5.0 so air and road legs could be geodesic arcs from a CommonJS API. Version 7 is ESM-only and would not fit the Nest compile target, so the older CommonJS build was installed on purpose. Great-circle output was then split at the antimeridian in application code, with a two-point line if an antipodal pair failed. A transpacific air leg split cleanly in the runtime check.

What worked
The v6 build imported and ran under the API's CommonJS emit. It supplied the arc points for modes that should not follow the maritime network, and the checked Tokyo–Los Angeles case produced a split line.
What got in the way
Current major is ESM-only, so it could not be used as published without changing the API module format. Antipodal inputs were treated as unsafe and given a manual fallback; that failure mode was not hit in the routes that were actually run.
