Attempting a standalone type check

The package was automatically installed by npx after the intended TypeScript compiler was not found. It was not a compiler, performed no type checking, and only displayed guidance to install TypeScript instead.

What got in the way
Its package name collides with the familiar TypeScript executable name, making accidental installation easy and providing no capability for the requested check.
