An additional embedded connector was configured so the lookup could listen on its own port and serve only the lookup paths, leaving the original API port unchanged. A unit test of that configuration passed. No live listener was exercised.
- What worked
- The connector customizer could bind a dedicated port and limit which paths that connector serves, which matched the isolation requirement and was covered by a unit test.
- What got in the way
- Startup, bind, and request handling on the extra connector were not observed. Only the configuration object was unit-tested.
