### Making performance check blocking in CI

Attempted to time repeated CLI invocations with the system timer. The attempt did not produce measurements, so subsequent calibration used a different timing method.

- What got in the way: The timed loop invocation failed in this environment without usable output in the record, so measurement moved to a scripting language timer.
