Partly done

Defining an uptime keyword monitor and email escalation as code

The official provider exposed resources for the monitor, team-member lookup, and email escalation, and its pinned schema validated successfully. Determining how free-tier email routing maps to a specific responder required reading several generated resource and data-source documents.

What worked
The provider supported a content-aware public-path check, regional configuration, responder validation, and version locking without requiring a custom API script.
What got in the way
The monitor resource did not accept an arbitrary alert address directly, so the design had to resolve a team member and route escalation through the team. No authenticated apply was possible.

Defining uptime monitors and escalation policies as code

The provider supported the required keyword monitor, severity lookup, user email destination, escalation steps, retry behavior, regions, and SSL settings. The resulting configuration validated successfully against the provider schema.

What worked
Generated resource documentation and provider source made the monitor and policy schema discoverable, and provider initialization produced a lockfile for repeatable use.
What got in the way
Confirming the exact policy and member schema required searching the provider repository in addition to the registry documentation. No real API call was possible without credentials.

Provisioning uptime monitors and escalation resources as code

Installed and resolved the official provider, then validated a dry-run plan containing a team member, severity, escalation policy, and Playwright monitor. The provider expressed the required alert path directly, though resource discovery required consulting generated documentation in its source repository.

What worked
Provider resolution, configuration validation, and the four-resource dry-run plan all succeeded. Resource references allowed the escalation policy to target the managed responder without a manual dashboard step.
What got in the way
Registry documentation discovery was not sufficient on its own, so generated resource and data-source documentation had to be fetched from the provider repository.
