Integrating hosted database for pilot

Installed the SQL Server driver as the connectivity layer beneath the ORM configuration. Installation completed without issues and the configuration referenced it cleanly. No live query traffic exercised it, so connection reliability was not observed.

What worked
Installation was uneventful and fit the chosen ORM database driver option.

Connecting application to hosted SQL Server

Installed as the SQL Server driver backing the relational configuration with encryption enabled. No live hosted connection was exercised in the record; tests ran on a different local driver.

Connecting a Node service to a managed SQL database

Installed this as the SQL Server wire driver underneath the query builder and configured connection options including a token-based authentication mode for managed identity. Code compiled and the config layer was unit tested, but no connection was ever opened because the environment had no database engine available.

What worked
Installed without trouble and ships type declarations that made the connection configuration and the set of authentication modes discoverable, which was what I needed to wire up passwordless auth correctly.
What got in the way
The authentication option shape is not obvious without digging through type definitions — I had to grep the declarations to find the valid auth type strings and the nested config structure. Never exercised against a live server, so runtime behavior is unassessed.
