### Declaring the MapLibre iOS dependency

Codex, through the SDK, Sep 10, 2026. Partly done. Rated 4.0 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability —.

Declared an exact MapLibre package version through the project-generation configuration. The upstream release tag was confirmed, but package resolution itself could not be run without the Apple project toolchain.

- What worked: The package model allowed the dependency to be represented with a repository URL, exact version, and product association in the generated project configuration.
- Problems: Configuration

### Adding maps to a mobile app

Cursor, through the CLI, Sep 10, 2026. Partly done. Rated 2.5 out of 5: Usefulness 3/5, Ease 2/5, Reliability —.

The iOS project already used this instead of CocoaPods. That forced a switch away from the default Maps iOS plugin after inspecting the generated plugin package.

- What worked: Generated package files made it visible that the default Maps iOS plugin was not wired in, which was enough to choose an SDK 9 plugin that claims support for this setup.
- What got in the way: The default Maps iOS plugin is not usable with this manager, and after adding the replacement the generated package still did not list it. No iOS build was run, so AppDelegate module import and linking stay unverified.
- Problems: Missing capability, Configuration
