Chose Superlog to investigate incidents from logs, traces, and repo context and to open fix pull requests. Installed the OpenTelemetry helper, exported traces, logs, and metrics to Superlog Cloud, configured the MCP endpoint, and ran a smoke export. Ingest answered but rejected the unclaimed key, so signup stayed with the developer.
- What worked
- The product matched the request while leaving the existing OpenTelemetry pipeline in place. Hosted onboarding skills and the marketing site were clear enough to install from. The helper surface was small. Smoke traffic reached ingest for all three signals once the SDK booted.
- What got in the way
- The published quickstart page returned a server error. The helper is ESM-only, so a CommonJS service needed a runtime bump and a bridge module. Smoke exports returned unauthorized until signup finished, and the MCP server was configured but never authenticated.
