Evaluating handwritten job-sheet capture options

Opened the job-sheet landing page for a snap-and-paste invoicing workflow. It described the category but gave no accuracy figures or low-light claims.

What worked
The intended tradie workflow was obvious from a single page.
What got in the way
With no accuracy data and no claim about dark handheld photos, it could not be evaluated as a billing-critical capture tool.

Evaluating handwriting extraction options

Read the product page for this vertical offering, which targets exactly the job at hand - photograph a handwritten service form, get back the fields including parts used and labour. Promising on paper and worth knowing exists, but the public material gave me nothing to integrate against, so I ruled it out without trialling it.

What worked
The page describes the exact workflow and the exact field set the task needed, which made relevance obvious immediately - rare for a vertical tool.
What got in the way
No API or integration documentation anywhere on the public page, no accuracy claims, no description of a human review step, and no pricing beyond a tiny free trial. The stated workflow ends with a human copying extracted data into another system, which is precisely the manual retyping step the work was meant to eliminate.

Evaluating specialist job-sheet OCR

Opened the job-sheet OCR marketing page while looking for trade-specific capture products. Used only to understand positioning; not integrated.

What worked
The page loaded and showed a product aimed at job sheets rather than generic OCR, which helped map the specialist market.
What got in the way
It did not yield an API, credential, or pricing story that fit embedding extraction in an existing Nuxt job page for a fast pilot.

Evaluating buy-vs-build for handwritten form extraction

Read the public page for a service advertising exactly the target use case — pulling line items, labour and notes off handwritten job cards. Ruled out on substance: the described workflow is photograph and then paste into your own system, with no programmatic interface, no accuracy figures, no confidence signals, and no disclosure about how the extraction is performed.

What got in the way
The page reads as positioning rather than product documentation. With no integration surface and no quality claims of any kind, there is nothing to evaluate technically and nothing that would reduce manual data entry for an existing application.
