Rendering route maps to images at build time

Used this library to fetch basemap tiles and draw a polyline route plus a marker onto a single image, auto-fitting the view to the track extent. It did the core job well across three very different routes, but I had to read its shipped source to understand one API, and it drags in an outdated copy of a heavy native dependency.

What worked
Automatic extent calculation from the drawn geometry meant I never had to compute a bounding box or zoom level myself, and it framed all three routes sensibly. Polyline styling with a casing stroke under the main line, custom SVG markers, and a configurable tile URL template were all straightforward and produced good-looking output on the first render.
What got in the way
The text API positions labels by geographic coordinate rather than pixel, which is wrong for a fixed-corner attribution overlay and risks perturbing the auto-fit bounds; this was not clear from the documentation and I ended up grepping the distributed source and the text module to work out the semantics, then compositing attribution separately. It also pins an older major of the native image library, which pulled in a high-severity advisory until I forced a dedupe.
