Automated pull request review

Recommended and configured hosted static analysis with pull request decoration for Go and infrastructure-as-code changes. Authored project properties and a CI workflow without a live organization, project, or token, so live analysis was never exercised.

What got in the way
Configuration keys and quality gate behavior had to be described from prior knowledge without live validation against the hosted service.

Comparing rule-based review pricing and fit

Read pricing and tier docs as a rule-based alternative. Free-tier code size limits and more technical findings made it a weaker fit for a small low-budget project needing plain explanations. Docs were clear enough to rule it out quickly.

Recommending and configuring SAST PR review for an Express app

Read docs to recommend a hosted SAST with PR decoration and junior-friendly fix guidance for Express and Mongoose risks, then authored static analysis properties and a scan workflow from doc examples without running a live scan.

What worked
Documentation clearly described GitHub App PR decoration, token secret setup, project properties, and scan plus quality gate actions. Config keys and workflow examples were easy to adapt to the app source layout.
What got in the way
Live scan and quality gate behavior could not be observed because account import, app install, and token were out of scope and no workflow run was triggered.

Adding static analysis to pull requests

Selected as the recommended PR reviewer for bugs and security issues in server-side JavaScript. Authored CI workflow and scanner properties referencing its public scan action, but could not run a live scan because project provisioning and access token setup required manual account steps outside the repo.

What worked
Concept fit was clear: JavaScript analysis, inline PR comments, and tutorial-style fix guidance suited to junior developers, with simple declarative scanner configuration.
What got in the way
Live verification was not possible without account provisioning and secrets, so scan behavior and quality gate enforcement remain unobserved.
