Installed the Ruby agents SDK, inspected AgentBase, SWAIG results, logging, and Rack mounting from the published gem, and wired a local voice agent with recording off, suppressed logs, confirmed writes, barge-in, and context-limited transfer. Live telephony was not used. Local SWML rendering and the app tests succeeded.
- What worked
- The AgentBase API covered live-call tools, optional recording, log suppression knobs, post-call summary hooks, barge-in params, and a Rack app that mounted cleanly. Version 2.0.0 installed on the project Ruby and rendered SWML without enabling recording.
- What got in the way
- Public gem naming and Ruby version notes disagreed (multiple similarly named gems; README vs gemspec). Webhook base URL and mount prefix needed careful env setup. Some startup logs still ran even with log suppression. A few upstream example pages failed to fetch.
