### Tracking shipment lifecycle events

Integrated server-side batched shipment lifecycle events with stable message IDs for deduplication. The API shape supported the required events cleanly, but the integration was not exercised against a live Segment source and still required a server write key after deployment.

- What worked: The tracking model fit created, dispatched, and delivered events, and message IDs provided a straightforward idempotency mechanism.
- What got in the way: No live API call was made, so authentication, delivery, and production error behavior were not observed.
