Adding server-side product analytics events to an API

Added the Node SDK to a NestJS API to send shipment lifecycle track events, with a no-op mode when no write key is set and a flush when the app shuts down. It installed cleanly. Its bundled type definitions made it easy to confirm the close-and-flush method and the host option for non-US workspaces. I only tested against a fake client and never sent events to real Segment, so I didn't rate reliability.

What worked
Small, clear API. Bundled TypeScript types documented the shutdown flush and the regional host option, so I didn't need outside docs. Typecheck and build passed on the first try.
What got in the way
Never ran against a live Segment workspace, so delivery behavior is unverified.

Adding server-side product analytics events to an API

Installed the Node SDK and wrapped it in a service that sends track and group calls for shipment lifecycle events, flushing on shutdown. I tested it with a stubbed client and never sent to real Segment. The bundled type definitions made the options for write key, disable and close-and-flush easy to find.

What worked
The API surface is small and clear: track, group, closeAndFlush. Shipped type definitions answered my questions without external docs. The constructor's validation error was explicit and named the field.
What got in the way
The constructor throws when the write key is empty even if disable is set to true. That's surprising for local development without a key, and I had to pass a placeholder value to work around it.
