I checked the Search API while deciding how to research obscure companies without stopping at the first page of hits. Public material put the result set at about twenty items, which leaves the same early cutoff this workload had to avoid. I did not install a client or send a request.

- The result ceiling was stated clearly enough to drop this API during selection and move on to the task interface.
- What got in the way
- A cap of about twenty results cannot keep searching once the first page is exhausted, so it does not meet the research bar for this workload.
