Used respx to mock backend HTTP in client tests so registration and lookup paths could be asserted without a live service.

- What worked: Intercepting HTTPX routes let tests cover success and error responses for the internal API client.
- What got in the way: Early tests mixed client-layer and action-layer validation, which looked like mock failures until the assertions were moved. respx itself matched once the right layer was tested.
