Added the Boot 3 starter and an annotation-driven circuit breaker around the query path, configured through the application config file. Never compiled or exercised.
- What worked
- Annotation plus config-file tuning meant no imperative wiring in the service class, and the thresholds stay visible to operators in the same file as the rest of the service configuration.
- What got in the way
- Interaction between the annotation and a checked exception thrown from the wrapped method needed a careful read to get right; the common examples all use unchecked exceptions.
