Ephemeral Redis for end-to-end verification

Used to launch an ephemeral Redis for integration checks. It eventually provided a working server, but startup polling was slow and one launch needed to be repeated.

What worked
Avoided needing an external Redis during verification once the server was up.
What got in the way
Slow readiness and a relaunched harness added waiting time.

Providing ephemeral Redis for verification

Installed in a scratch directory to back the real queue during end-to-end verification. Required brief API exploration to find the correct start method, after which it supported burst, retry, and dedupe scenarios.

What worked
Once started, it behaved like real Redis for queue persistence and retries.
What got in the way
Exported start API was not obvious and needed inspection before use.

Local Redis test broker

Installed this helper outside the app to get a Redis binary when Compose and a system install were unavailable. The first script eventually started Redis and proved job-id uniqueness; later startups hung on another download at 0% until the process was killed and the cached binary was started by hand.

What worked
After the first successful download, a real Redis was available and the uniqueness test against the queue completed.
What got in the way
Postinstall sat for a long time pulling a binary. A later run stalled at no download progress, appeared to fetch again from a different working directory, and was unusable until the hung process was killed and the cached server was launched directly.
