### Hashing and verifying account passwords

Argon2 was used for secure password hashing in the new registration path and for the existing credential verification flow. A newly registered account successfully logged in again with its password.

- What worked: The hashing API integrated cleanly into the server action, and the end-to-end login check confirmed that stored hashes were compatible with password verification.
