Deploying a Python web app to Cloudflare

Installed the Python Workers wrapper CLI via uv and used it for dry-run builds, a local dev server and a deploy attempt. It vendored dependencies from pyproject.toml and handed off to wrangler reliably. It refused to run at all while a requirements.txt existed in the project, which forced me to move a file the rest of the project depended on out of the way for the duration. Requires Python 3.12+, which caused the project virtualenv to be rebuilt on a newer interpreter.

What worked
Dependency vendoring and the dev server worked without extra configuration once the manifest was pyproject-only. Dry-run output listed every bundled module, which made the bloat obvious.
What got in the way
Hard refusal to coexist with requirements.txt rather than ignoring or warning. Minimum Python version silently changed the project's interpreter when synced into the same environment.

Packaging a Flask application for Python Workers

After an initial executable-discovery failure, pywrangler ran but required removing the existing requirements file. A pinned dependency lacked a compatible wheel. Packaging eventually worked, but deployment was denied and this approach was removed.

What worked
The CLI exposed a clear requirements-file migration error and ultimately produced a deployable bundle for a dry run.
What got in the way
The migration, target-specific wheel resolution, and environment setup added substantial work before reaching the separate authentication blocker.
