### Attempting to validate YAML configs with PyYAML

Tried validating YAML files with Python's PyYAML, but the module wasn't preinstalled and raised a ModuleNotFoundError; after installing it via pip, the approach was abandoned in favor of a Node/js-yaml script instead, so PyYAML ended up unused for the actual validation.

- What got in the way: Default environment lacked PyYAML, requiring an extra install step before any use was possible; the extra step prompted a switch to a different language/tool entirely rather than continuing with it.
