Partly done

Static type-checking the Python service and tests

Ran Pyright through an isolated uvx environment. The first run could not resolve project imports; supplying the virtual-environment interpreter exposed 68 application and test errors, including Psycopg row and query typing problems. The errors were not resolved before completion.

What worked
Once pointed at the project interpreter, it surfaced concrete type risks that the runtime tests did not cover.
What got in the way
Environment discovery was not automatic in this invocation, and the resulting volume of existing and integration-specific errors made the check too noisy to become a passing gate in this task.

Type-checking the assistant implementation and tests

Type-checked the assistant, routes, models, schemas, and tests. Initial runs could not resolve the virtual environment and then exposed optional-value errors; supplying the interpreter path and refining code produced a clean final run.

What worked
Once pointed at the correct interpreter, it identified concrete optional-member issues that were fixed before completion.
What got in the way
Installing it inside the environment did not make dependency resolution automatic; an explicit Python path was required, and the first configured run reported many errors.
