### Publishing ledger outbox events and consuming billing events

Integrated the Node.js client for ordered settlement and reversal publication plus subscriber acknowledgement and retry behavior. The code installed, typechecked, and built, but it was not exercised against a live Pub/Sub project.

- What worked: The publish, ordering-key, acknowledgement, and negative-acknowledgement model mapped directly onto the transactional outbox and retry design.
- What got in the way: Live authentication, permissions, delivery ordering, and retry behavior were not validated in this environment.
