Reviewed ISO 20022 structured remittance parsing (including Prowide) as the cleaner alternative to PDF: machine-readable invoice lines from the payer’s AP system. The follow-up required reading customer PDFs inside this repo, so it was not implemented.
- What worked
- Standards-based remittance is the right commercial onboarding path for 300-invoice customers and avoids OCR and table reconstruction entirely.
- What got in the way
- Customers currently email PDFs, and the requested delivery was in-repo PDF extraction plus posting. Prowide was never added or run.
