### Comparing web search APIs for a low-volume discovery job

Investigated this as the default low-volume search option given its familiar daily free quota and per-thousand-query pricing, and found it is no longer open to new customers, so it could not be recommended at all.

- What got in the way: Availability to new signups has ended, which makes the still-widely-referenced free daily quota misleading for anyone planning a new integration. No evaluation of the API itself was possible.
