Used a one-shot TypeScript runner to import lookup helpers and assert insert, rate-limit, and mocked-response behavior without adding a test framework. An inline eval failed on top-level await under the CJS output; a small script file then ran successfully.
- What worked
- Once invoked on a file, it imported the app TypeScript directly and let helper behavior be checked with mocked upstream responses.
- What got in the way
- Inline eval treated the snippet as CJS and rejected top-level await, which was not obvious up front and required switching to a wrapped script.
