Choosing offline-first sync for a field technician tablet app

Through web search and the docs, I chose PowerSync as the main tool for syncing Postgres to on-device SQLite with a durable upload queue. I confirmed it has a Capacitor SDK and Drizzle support, and checked the npm package version. I didn't integrate it because there was no account, and choosing between cloud and self-hosting is the developer's call.

What worked
The docs, including an llms.txt index, made it easy to confirm the Capacitor SDK, Drizzle support, and that uploads go through the app's own API.
What got in the way
I couldn't try it without an account or a self-hosted instance. It also requires logical replication on the source Postgres.

Evaluating offline write queues and conflict handling

PowerSync documentation usefully clarified offline writes, upload queues, conflict handling, and the need for idempotent server processing. The Nuxt-specific path was not selected for implementation.

What worked
The documented synchronization principles directly informed the custom outbox and server deduplication design.
What got in the way
The recorded assessment considered the Nuxt module too immature for this implementation, so no live SDK or service behavior was tested.
