Reviewed the open-source framework and managed cloud docs: function calling, Smart Turn detection, Anthropic service, telephony via Daily PSTN/SIP and Twilio websockets, agent profiles, scaling, capacity planning and session API. Docs were reasonably thorough but page paths had shifted so some fetches needed retries at alternate paths. Python-only server framework and no documented cloud webhooks (only the underlying Daily webhooks) limited fit for a Go shop.
- What worked
- Function-calling and turn-detection guides were concrete. Pricing for cloud agent profiles and telephony was published. Anthropic integration is a first-class service.
- What got in the way
- Several doc URLs had moved. Pipecat Cloud session webhooks were not documented. No Go runtime.
