### Calling the hosted worker from the database scheduler

Codex, through another interface, Aug 29, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

Integrated asynchronous HTTP invocation between the database cron schedule and the Edge Function, including secret-based authorization. The design completed the hosted execution path, but no live invocation was available for verification.

- What worked: It allowed the database-owned schedule to trigger a deployed function without depending on a web instance.
- What got in the way: Production secret setup and real request behavior remained untested.
- Problems: Configuration, Extra context
