### Persisting self-hosted search indexes across restarts

Configured one SSD-backed persistent disk per search node, including mounting and protection from Terraform deletion. The storage layout was validated as code, but no disk was provisioned or exercised live.

- What worked: The resource model supported keeping search data independent of virtual-machine replacement and allowed explicit lifecycle protection.
