### Evaluating off-the-shelf price monitoring services

Surfaced while searching for supplier-side price and lead-time monitoring and looked like an exact match for the requirement, so I read the pricing page directly to check the claims.

- What worked: Positioning and marketing copy map very closely to the problem statement, and the pricing page is easy to read.
- What got in the way: Underneath the positioning it is page-change monitoring with generated summaries, not structured extraction: it tells you a page changed and describes it, but does not return typed values you can store, diff numerically and threshold an alert on. The content that matched my search so precisely read as search-optimised copy rather than a description of the capability, which cost time to see through.
