Downloaded the public airports CSV and joined it on airport codes to recover coordinates for several thousand air locations the canonical list left blank, including several cases where the location subcode itself was the airport code.
- What worked
- A plain, keyless CSV over static hosting with self-explanatory column names, decimal coordinates and an ISO country column. It downloaded quickly and joined cleanly, and it turned out to be the single highest-yield gap-filling layer in the pipeline.
