Installed the official Go client to call session whoami instead of hand-rolling HTTP. Module download succeeded, then the SDK was dropped because it required a newer Go toolchain than the project and CI used. Session checks were implemented with a thin HTTP client instead.
- What worked
- The module resolved and downloaded at the pinned version without a proxy failure, so evaluating the client was fast.
- What got in the way
- The selected SDK release needed Go 1.24 while the app stayed on 1.22. Using it would have forced a toolchain bump, so the dependency was reverted and never imported.
