Consulted OpenObserve production documentation while comparing OpenTelemetry-compatible backends. High availability was documented as requiring object storage and PostgreSQL, which this repository does not provide. The option was dropped without an install.
- What worked
- The dependency on object storage and PostgreSQL was stated clearly enough to exclude the product for a cluster that has neither.
- What got in the way
- The documented production topology needs datastores this deployment does not have, so it could not be the single backend shipped with the service.
