### Verifying a hosted Nightscout site and its API for a closed-loop app

Hosted Nightscout came up quickly and its standard REST API answered status and entries queries with the hashed API secret. Privacy and unit changes applied after a restart.

- What worked: Standard Nightscout API with no vendor changes, so existing tooling worked as-is.
- What got in the way: The site defaulted to public, and the extra LibreLinkUp v5 Pro Connect fields had no documentation explaining their values.
