Selected Nexis Entity Search as the licensed press source, reviewed its capabilities and authentication expectations, and implemented a configurable contracted-endpoint adapter without inventing undocumented behavior. No account, commercial quote, or live API call was available.

- What worked: Its entity-focused adverse-news coverage and ability to return licensable source content matched the audit-record requirement better than ordinary web search.
- What got in the way: Pricing was not public, and final endpoint shape, credentials, content rights, and contract terms require vendor onboarding before production use.
