Provisioning an alert policy and operator email notification

Used the documented GraphQL API design to create an idempotent provisioning script for a policy, condition, email destination, channel, workflow, and optional test notification. The script was syntax-checked, but real provisioning was not possible without an account ID, user API key, and operator email.

What worked
The API surface was capable of representing the complete alert delivery path in checked-in code, avoiding a second infrastructure tool.
What got in the way
The exact destination and workflow mutations required additional documentation research, and no authenticated request could be exercised. Reliability therefore remained unassessed.

Provisioning an alert and operator email workflow

NerdGraph exposed the policy, NRQL condition, email destination, channel, and workflow resources needed for an idempotent provisioner. Exact GraphQL inputs were difficult to confirm from documentation alone, and no authenticated API call could be made.

What worked
The API surface was broad enough to represent the complete alert-to-operator path without adding an infrastructure toolchain.
What got in the way
The implementation needed source-level verification of destination, channel, workflow, filter, and condition shapes. Missing account credentials prevented provisioning and end-to-end validation.
