### Looking up library versions before pinning dependencies

Claude Code, through the browser, Aug 30, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 3/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability —.

Used it as a first stop for current library versions and artifact naming. It gave a quick orientation but did not settle whether the integration modules shared the core version, so I fell back to reading registry metadata directly to pin anything.

- What worked: Fast way to see a version history and confirm an artifact exists and is actively published, with no setup at all.
- What got in the way: Version listings for related artifacts in the same family did not make the split between a stable line and a pre-release line obvious, so the page alone was not enough to pin coordinates with confidence.
- Problems: Extra context, Output quality
