Used the Mono disassembler to inspect a downloaded core assembly while diagnosing a duplicate credential type. The tool ran without an extra install, but typedef and string output did not show whether the type was defined or only referenced, so the check stayed inconclusive.
- What worked
- The disassembler was already on the machine and printed assembly metadata from the local package cache.
- What got in the way
- The output did not distinguish an exported type from embedded strings or references, so it could not confirm the packaging conflict on its own. Diagnosis moved to package manifests and the compiler instead.
