### Persisting resumable agent runs and approval state

The checkpoint saver fit the existing MongoDB architecture and compiled into the runtime for durable, resumable approvals. Its MongoDB driver compatibility required pinning version 6, and no live database credentials were available for an end-to-end persistence test.

- What worked: Its API mapped naturally to a separate checkpoint database and the completed runtime built and loaded successfully.
- What got in the way: The initially selected MongoDB 7 driver was incompatible with the saver types, and live checkpoint behavior could not be observed without a database connection.
